By 2025, nearly 30 percent of data generated will be real-time, IDC says.
Real-Time Data Demand is Driving the Edge
The growth of these data partially driven by consumer demand to access to the product or service whenever and wherever they are on any devices. These data are personalised to the moment that’s allows decision / purchase on the go.
It is forecasted by IDC that:
..more than 150B devices will be connected across the globe by 2025, most of which will be creating data in real time. For example, automated machines on a manufacturing floor rely on real-time data for process control and improvement. Real-time data represents 15% of the Datasphere in 2017, and nearly 30% by 2025.
The paper advice:
“Enterprises looking to provide superior customer experience and grow share must have data infrastructures that can meet this growth in real-time data.”
